Accessibility

We make documents easier to understand, so our own website should be easy to use too. Last updated 22 October 2026.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We haven't had the site independently audited yet, so if you find a problem, please tell us.

What we've done

  • Body text is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface the Braille Institute designed to be easier to read for people with low vision.
  • Text is large, with strong contrast against the background.
  • Every page works with a keyboard alone. A clear outline shows where you are, and a link at the top skips straight to the main content.
  • Pictures have short descriptions for screen readers. Decorative ones are hidden from them.
  • Nothing moves, flashes or plays by itself, and there are no pop ups.
  • Pages still work when you zoom in to 200%, and on a phone.
  • There are no cookies and no tracking.

What isn't perfect yet

The example pages on our Examples page are pictures of documents. Each has a short description, but not the full text. The downloadable PDF of the same guide has text you can select and copy, but it hasn't been checked with a screen reader. If you'd like the full text in another form, email us and we'll send it.

Tell us if something doesn't work

If anything on this site is hard to use, email hello@clearpages.com.au and tell us what happened. We'll reply within one business day, and fix it if we can.
